Marion Blue Springs

Marion Blue Springs, is a third-magnitude springs, and one of the largest of the 20 lost springs of the Ocklawaha, submerged by the waters of the Rodman/Kirkpatrick Dam. An outline of the spring boil is sometimes visible on the reservoir’s surface. If the Ocklawaha is partially restored, breaching the Rodman Dam, Marion Blue Springs will emerge again in all it splendor.

Old timers in the area talk about seeing manatees breeding in Marion Blue Springs before the dam prevented their natural migration up the river.
